4.44 Mile "Gently Rolling" Run

Well, well, well, some of the members who wandered off to form their own little run group emerged to come full circle running with Sharksbite once again...  We are very happy to have them back.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to say thanks for coming out to the Sharksbite Thursday run. Things may not have been as organized as when our gone-but-not-forgotten race director Footfeathers (Tim Long) was running things, but we still had fun. We had 37 runners, 2 stroller riders, 2 spectators, 1 runner who showed up 30 minutes late and then left, 1 runner who never came back, 1 super-green rookie race co-director (me), a bucket of water, a handful of PR's, and a whole lot of fun (if you call those hills fun). I saw at least a half-dozen new faces out there, so keep coming back. We have 5 weeks left in this 16-week series. Who knows, maybe we can start another one once this is finished.

This week, we will be running the same course, but with a different twist. The start times will be staggered so that everyone finishes together (it is called a handicap run).

Thanks, Brian T.

Brad Popple signs an autograph for a groupie as overall points leader, Matt Chisholm looks on in disgust.

That's what I call training!  That thing must weigh 200lbs

The Thursday night run is for all abilities and open to everyone (well, almost everyone).  Come out and enjoy the free timed run the free food and bottled water, the great give-aways, and all the nice people you'll meet.  The only requirement is that you bring or buy a beer for the Race Director at some point.

Pete Hunt nearly barfs on unsuspecting Eimear's shoe.

5 bonus points for every new person (must have a pulse) you bring to the run, 6 points if it's a girl (7 if she's single).

Go run!

Footfeathers was spotted running up and down every trail he can find out west.  Rumor has it that he's living out of the back of his truck with his dog Pippit and selling homemade energy bars at night and running mountains in the mornings.

This Sasquatch-esque photo was taken near Deer Creek Canyon

Pippit chills out on his yoga mat.

A view from Deer Creek Canyon.  Many people asked what the first thing Footfeathers would do when he reached his destination.  This is it.
