About Sharksbite

Welcome to Charlotte’s athletic & running club where all ages, abilities, sizes, and species are made to feel at home. Here’s some background. I moved here from Boston and found that there are A LOT of folks who run, are interested in running, or just like to enjoy themselves in general. Well, in Boston there are enough running clubs to fit everyone’s needs from the very serious, hardcore training (read: boring), to the wacky, last thing on their minds was running.

Here in Charlotte I found there aren’t many clubs that provide a well-rounded format and environment for runners to stretch their legs, reach their goals, and/or just have a good time being healthy. So, here’s where I get the brainstorm to start a club like the ones I’ve enjoyed being a part of, and share some of what I learned from good friends who ran clubs, directed races, and had a great time doing it.  We manage and time events and races and look forward to seeing members there too.

If all you want to do is stand around and chatter about mile splits for hours, then I recommend another club.  If you want a well-rounded environment where running is taken seriously, but there is an understanding that there’s more to life than just personal records, then Sharksbite is for you.  Show up for a weekly run, or drop us an email if you’re interested in enjoying a great sport, a balanced life, and meeting some very nice people in the process.
